So Beyoncé can pole dance in front of a sign that says feminist and is praised. But, my friend feels that she should speak up against abortion because she believes that the fetus in the womb (many, female) should be protected, and she is called a close…

You can’t advocate to take away dfab people’s bodily integrity and still call yourself a good feminist. Sorry.

All the cheap shots at Beyoncé in the world won’t change that. :C

Again, you’re missing my point. I have no problem with Beyoncé dancing. None at all. I have no place to. Neither does my friend. More power to her, it’s her body do whatever she wants with it. But, what is also ones own body, is an embryo. That is a unique person with it’s own genetic makeup. A unique D.N.A. And by 10 weeks distinct facial features form. By 6 months a distinct fingerprint is fully formed. One, that no one els has. An embryo, like Beyoncé’s body. Is it’s own, and NO ONE has the right to go against it. And in the embryos case, kill it. princessfknpeach

By being against abortion, you aren’t just saying embryos have a right to their own bodies. You’re saying they have a right to someone else’s body.

Yes they do, because that somebody put the embryo in their body. (Of course minus the case of rape, in that case abortion is many times the option). But in (and this is a real statistic) 99% percent of abortions preformed are filed as consensual sex. (Yes, the abortionist legally must ask). So if a couple is going to have unprotected sex, they should know that’s making a baby. So a baby does have the right to someone else’s body, because it is knowingly placed there. (Please, I must stress, that scenario is excluding the case of rape.)

Um?? No the fuck they don’t. Bodily autonomy doesn’t just fly out the window once your pregnant, no matter how it happened. And you contradicted yourself by saying you accept abortion in the case of rape. I thought embryos had a right to their own bodies because they have unique DNA? Or are you just a piece of shit who needs to see people punished for having sex? Which is it?

I never said I agree with the option of abortion in the case of rape. I still believe that they should be protected. But that is not my place to say at all. So you agree with me that it’s in own person? So how then can we justify taking that life. A baby is not a punishment, and I do not look to make it one. It is a result. Like 2 plus 2 equals 4. If you don’t want the 4, than don’t add together 2 & 2. We do not just kill a baby because of our own ignorance of not practicing safe sex. Even if the baby isn’t wanted, put it up for adoption! Now, I refuse to debate if both parties can’t agree to be civil, respectful and mature. There is no need for childish name calling. Again, this goes back to what I was saying before. A society cannot function unless diversity thrives. The only way diversity can thrive is if there is conflict, and we co-exist with that conflict. Which means disagreeing without hate speech. Again, what Beyoncé wants, and what I want.

I don’t give a fuck. I haven’t an iota of respect for pro-lifers and I don’t intend to act as if I do. If being called out on your sex-shaming bullshit hurts your feelings so much don’t tag it next time.

Gotta love an intellectual response like that:) princessfknpeach

Lol you’re pro life. You wouldn’t know “intellectual” if it took a Louisville Slugger to your face.

First problem: if you work for a “boss” as in having healthcare through your company, you pay this thing called a premium. As in, you pay. You pay money.
Let me repeat that again: You. Pay. Money. For. Your. Healthcare. Coverage. You don’t just check a box saying “yes I want healthcare coverage” and boom, you never pay a cent.
Your boss does not “provide it for free.” You pre-pay for it EVERY MONTH whether you use your healthcare for birth control, cancer treatment, mammograms, a urinary tract infection, a routine physical, meds for your pre-existing condition (Thanks ACA!) or NEVER GO TO THE DOCTOR AT ALL.
Reason number one that I need not just feminism and sex education in schools but BASIC FUCKING HEALTHCARE RULES TAUGHT IN SCHOOL INSTEAD OF REQUIRING ME TO TAKE THREE YEARS OF FUCKING FINDING THE MEANING OF X. I CAN FIND THE BASIC MEANING OF X BY THE END OF YEAR ONE. TEACH PEOPLE HOW FUCKING INSURANCE, LOANS, HEALTHCARE, ETC. WORKS INSTEAD!
Also reason number one that people need to be taught what “pre-paid” means.

Even if you’re pro-choice or pro-life, this shouldn’t be. Just, come on society.

lol your friend can be a shitty feminist if she wants to, but you leave Beyonce out of this.
